Description

A client approached me with a barber chair that he wanted me to restore for him.

The barber chair has been in his family for a very very long time. I knew this was going to be a very delicate and fragile restoration. A lot of research was done before I started.

I had to take the entire chair apart, catalogue and number every piece. All the wood had to be restored. Every metal piece and screw had to be re-chromed. All upholstery was redone. Even the original head rest was missing, and I had to make a new one. After everything was ready I assembled the barber chair and brought it back to it’s former glory. This was one of my most favoured projects I have done.
